Myrrh has an earthy, balsamic-like scent and has been used for centuries in traditions around the world. It is known for awakening the spiritual senses and is commonly present in perfumes and skin-care products. Myrrh may help most respiratory issues with its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and therefore deepen the breath. It can be mixed with frankincense to produce a powerful duo that activates the life force (prana) entering the body. Both can be mixed with a carrier oil to help the body stay relaxed and agile – especially useful in Yoga or Pilates.
